“Israel”conducts negotiations to obtain Yemen bronze statue

SANAA, July 02 (YPA) – A Yemeni researcher interested in tracking and monitoring smuggled Yemeni antiquities, Abdullah Mohsen, revealed on Tuesday that “Israel” was negotiating to obtain a bronze statue from Yemen.

in a post on X, Mohsen confirmed that an auction house in the occupied city of Jaffa, known as Tel Aviv, was negotiating with an unnamed Arab broker to acquire a bronze statue from Yemen.

He noted that the negotiations took place before the official auction, without providing any further details about the bronze statue or how it was smuggled out.

This comes as four rare Yemeni artifacts go on sale next Wednesday at the French auction house “Blacasse”, including the twin statue of the most famous statue of Bayhan district of Shabwa, a female statue with a gold earring and an exceptional tombstone.
