Senior Iranian official confirms Iran’s readiness for two-year war with “Israel”

TEHRAN, June 23 (YPA) – A senior Iranian official told CNN that his country is preparing for a possible two-year war against the Israeli entity, stressing that morale among the Iranian leadership and people is “very high” despite the escalating military escalation in the region.

The official, whose name was not disclosed by the network, said, “The popular momentum within Iran calling for a strike on Israel is unprecedented,” adding, “These popular calls constitute one of the key elements in escalating and intensifying the military plans being implemented by Tehran.”

The Iranian official emphasized that his country does not see an imminent end to the current conflict but is “prepared for all scenarios, including a prolonged confrontation that could last two years or more.”

He noted that the war has become “an existential issue that transcends traditional political calculations.”

These statements come amid growing international fears that the conflict could slide into a long-term regional confrontation, particularly after the United States entered the war by striking nuclear sites inside Iran and Tehran responded with a series of large-scale missile attacks against Israeli targets.
