SANAA, June 22 (YPA) – Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro condemned the US aggression against Iran on Sunday, describing it as a “vile attack and a criminal act.”
In a post on his official Telegram page, Maduro expressed his “strong and firm condemnation” of the attack, stressing that the aggression violated the rules of international law and the UN Charter, and even ignored US laws, endangering life and peace.
The Venezuelan president also expressed “absolute solidarity with the noble people and government of Iran, and with the entire world that is struggling for sovereignty and peace.”
Venezuela had previously announced its position, which it expressed following the US aggression against Iran, as Caracas confirmed that the bombing launched by Washington on Iranian nuclear facilities constituted “an illegal and extremely dangerous act of aggression.”
Venezuela warned of the risks this aggression poses to human life and the ecological balance, noting that it is “a direct threat to international peace.”
It is noteworthy that US President Donald Trump announced that US aircraft had carried out an attack on Iranian nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, at dawn on Sunday, according to Tehran time.
In a post on his Truth Social account, Trump confirmed that a full load of bombs had been dropped on the Fordow facility.
