Al-Mashat: “We will counter any participation in aggression against Iran by all legitimate means”
SANAA, June 21 (YPA) – The President of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, Mahdi al-Mashat, said on Saturday that he will ask the Foreign Ministry to send a memorandum to the United Nations informing it of the preparations being made by some member states to participate in the Israeli aggression against Iran.
President Al-Mashat said in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), “We will work to confront and counter any participation in the aggression against Iran by all legitimate means.”
He called on all Arab, Islamic, and peace-loving countries to make the same decision instead of waiting for one country to be targeted after another.
“We have every right to make our decision on humanitarian, religious, and moral grounds, and it is supported by international and regional conventions and Yemeni laws,” he added.
President Al-Mashat pointed out that countries’ abandonment of their role in protecting international security and their shift to supporting aggressors in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran requires a strong and unified stance, warning that “the fire will reach everyone if the plans of the arrogant powers continue to be ignored.”
He emphasized that any aggression targeting an Islamic country will be met with force, a firm position he had previously announced.
President Al-Mashat reiterated that “America’s participation in the Israeli enemy entity’s aggression against Iran will only lead to greater US involvement,” explaining that everyone would see the consequences.
He announced that the Humanitarian Operations Center had been instructed to take the necessary measures in accordance with Yemeni law, noting that “anyone participating in or supporting the aggression must bear responsibility for their decisions.”
