ADEN, June 09 (YPA) – Southern activist Anis Al-Jardami died on Monday in a hospital in Aden city in southern Yemen, after two months of detention in a secret prison run by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions.
Local and human rights sources reported that Al-Jardami’s arrest was due to his opposition to some of the STC’s policies.
Al-Jardami was transferred to the hospital after his health deteriorated, without his family being allowed to visit him or learn of his condition.
