Chilean President Boric vows to step up pressure on “Israel” over Gaza war

WORLD, June 02 (YPA) – Chilean President Gabriel Boric said he will work to intensify pressure on “Israel” over its war on the Gaza Strip.

In a three-hour speech before Congress in the coastal city of Valparaiso, Boric added that he will introduce a bill to ban imports from illegally occupied territories and will support Spain’s efforts to impose an arms embargo on Israel.

The Chilean president is a prominent critic of Israel and recently withdrew military personnel from his country’s embassy in Israel and recalled the ambassador for consultations.
