Nine of Gaza doctor’s children killed in Israeli attack, Medical source

GAZA, May 24 (YPA) – An Israeli occupation airstrike has targeted the home of a doctor and killed nine of her 10 children, according to the hospital where she works in the city of Khan Younis on Friday.

Alaa Al-Najjar, a pediatrician at Nasser Hospital, is reeling from the horrific loss of her nine children after an Israeli airstrike targeted her home in Khan Yunis.

The Israeli strikes completely destroyed the house and sparked a massive fire. Civil defense teams recovered nine victims, including eight children, who were completely charred.

Dr. Alaa, who worked in the pediatric department at Nasser Hospital, received news of the deaths of her sons, Yahya, Rakan, Raslan, Jibran, Eve, Rivan, and Sayedin, who were identified. This scene embodies the double tragedy being experienced by the people of Gaza, caught between aggression, death, and loss.

According to eyewitnesses, Dr. Al-Najjar was collapsed after receiving news that her children, aged between two and 16, were killed and her husband was injured in the Israeli airstrike.

Director-General of the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, Munir al-Barash, confirmed that “nine siblings, the children of Dr. Alaa al-Najjar, were martyred as a result of an Israeli attack that targeted their house in Khan Yunis on Friday.

This crime was part of a series of systematic attacks on civilians in the Gaza Strip and Khan Yunis, which have been subjected to intense airstrikes for several weeks, resulting in hundreds of casualties, including children and women.
