Death toll of Israeli genocidal war in Gaza raises to 174,873 martyrs and injuries

GAZA, May 19 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed, on Monday, that hospitals in the Strip received 136 martyrs and 364 wounded in the past 24 hours as a result of the ongoing Israeli war of extermination, and this brings the death toll from the ongoing 19-month-long war to 174,873.

The Gaza Health Ministry reported in its daily statistical report that 11 of the martyrs were pulled from under the rubble, indicating that the death toll from the genocidal war perpetrated by the Israeli occupation since October 7, 2023, has risen to 53,486 martyrs and 121,398 injuries.

She noted that the death toll and the number of wounded since the occupation resumed its genocide against the Gaza Strip on March 18 has risen to 3,340 martyrs and 9,357 wounded, bringing the total number of victims over the past 18 months to 174,873 martyrs and wounded.

She also pointed out that a number of victims are still under the rubble of destroyed homes and on the streets, where it is difficult for ambulance and civil defense crews to reach them.
