Massive demonstration organized in Washington in support of Palestine

SANAA, May 19 (YPA) – A demonstration in support of Palestine was launched in the US capital, Washington, to denounce the genocidal war waged by the Israeli occupation against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and to commemorate the Palestinian Nakba.

Participants in the solidarity protest with the Palestinians protested against US support for the Israeli occupation state, demanding an end to the brutal aggression that has been ongoing on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.

The demonstrators also commemorated the 77th anniversary of the ongoing Palestinian Nakba before heading to the memorial in the US capital.

The participants in the protest also raised Palestinian flags, many of them wearing the Palestinian keffiyeh, and carried banners with slogans such as “Freedom for Palestine” and “Stop the genocide.”
