British organization calls on London to stop selling arms to Israel

SANAA, May 03 (YPA) – “Save the Children” organization, called on the British government to take urgent steps, including halting arms sales to Israel, holding those responsible for violations accountable, and taking real measures to end the occupation.

This comes against the backdrop of preventing humanitarian aid from reaching the Gaza Strip for two months, the British non-governmental organization published on its X account.

The organization pointed out that Israel has been imposing a complete blockade on the Gaza Strip for two months, preventing humanitarian aid from reaching the civilian population.

She added: “During this period, only bombs and bullets have entered Gaza, while airstrikes have continued instead of allowing the food, clothes, and tents that children need to survive.”

The organization emphasized that preventing the entry of humanitarian aid represents a flagrant violation of international law, demanding an immediate reversal of this decision and allowing aid to enter into the Gaza Strip.

The organization stressed that “statements expressing concern mean nothing unless followed by real action on the ground.”

The organization also addressed an appeal to the British government, stating: “The British government must end its cooperation (with Israel), immediately halt all arms sales to this country, put an end to Israel’s impunity, hold accountable all those responsible for these violations, and take concrete steps to end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.”
