Al-Qassam Brigades carry out tight ambush against occupation forces in Rafah

GAZA, May 01 (YPA) – The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, claimed responsibility for a complex operation against the Israeli occupation forces in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, on Thursday.

The Brigades said in a military statement, “Our fighters confirmed the implementation of a complex operation on Al-Tayaran Street in the Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, on Friday afternoon, April 27, 2025.”

They indicated that the fighters were able to lure a mechanized Zionist force consisting of four Hummer military jeeps and an Amolicia military truck into a tight ambush, and targeted them with a number of “Shawaz” and “fedayeen” explosive devices. After that, a number of fighters advanced toward the remaining enemy soldiers and clashed with them at point-blank range, killing and wounding them.
