8 Palestinian citizens killed in Israeli airstrikes various areas of Gaza City

GAZA, April 23 (YPA) – At least eight Palestinian citizens were killed and many others injured since dawn on Wednesday in various areas of Gaza City, local sources reported, citing medical sources.

According to the sources, three martyrs and a number of injuries were recovered following an Israeli airstrike on a home belonging to the Shaaban family on Old Gaza Street in Jabalia al-Balad, in the northern Gaza Strip.

Additionally, five citizens were killed and others wounded when Israeli forces bombed a tent sheltering displaced people inside the Yafa School in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, northeast of Gaza City.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation forces have launched an assault on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the martyrdom of 51,266 people—most of them children and women—and the injury of 116,991 others, according to a non-final tally.

Many victims still under the rubble or in the streets, where ambulance and rescue crews are unable to reach them.
