Complex ambush targets Israeli military force in Gaza

GAZA, April 20 (YPA) – Al-Qassam Brigades announced that it carried out a complex ambush on Saturday targeting an Israeli military force east of the town of Beit Hanoun, north of the Gaza Strip.

The Brigades said in a news release that its fighters managed to target a military jeep belonging to the Gaza Division’s Combat Information Gathering Battalion during the ambush, using an anti-tank missile.

The statement noted that the attack resulted in confirmed casualties among Israeli soldiers.

It added that when the Israeli support force arrived at the ambush site, a “TV 3” anti-personnel explosive device was detonated, resulting in deaths and injuries among the the soldiers.

The Brigades’ statement also stated that a newly constructed military site for the occupation forces was targeted in the same area with four RPG shells.

This ambush came as part of ongoing operations that the Palestinian armed factions carried out against Israeli forces deployed throughout various areas of the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip, which began on October 7.
