SANAA, April 07 (YPA) – University students in Bangladesh organized a campaign of demonstrations on their university campuses to condemn the Israeli attacks on Gaza and express solidarity with the Palestinian people.
The local newspaper, Dhaka Tribune, reported that university students in Bangladesh have launched a campaign of protests against the Israeli attacks on Gaza.
According to the newspaper, students at prominent Bangladeshi universities decided not to attend classes and academic activities during rallies in support of Palestine.
The students also decided to continue the solidarity rallies with Palestine on the campuses of every university, and called for an “academic boycott” for the sake of Gaza.
For its part, the University of Dhaka announced, in a statement, the suspension of exams and classes on Monday in support of the students.
The students assert that the genocide in Gaza is an issue that “transcends politics,” calling on the government to impose a financial boycott on Israel.
