BEIRUT, Feb. 22 (YPA) -the higher committee tasked to arrange the funeral ceremonies of the two martyrs, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashim Safieddine, confirmed that all logistical and technical preparations for the funeral ceremonies have been completed.
The sports city in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, has been fully prepared, along with the surrounding areas.
The funeral ceremonies are set to begin on Sunday morning at 9:30 AM.
According to estimates, The Camille Chamoun Sports City Stadium in Beirut, Lebanon, will accommodate over 23,000 seats inside the stadium, in addition to 55,000 seats in the stands.
Outside the stadium, 35,000 seats have been designated for men on the side opposite the sports city, and 25,000 seats in a section reserved for women.
Strict security measures have been implemented, with more than 4,000 members of the Lebanese Army and security forces deployed to maintain order around the sports city and along the funeral procession route.
Additionally, 25,000 personnel from the discipline teams will be responsible for organizing crowd movement and ensuring smooth traffic flow inside and outside the sports city.
Meanwhile, 4,000 organizers will coordinate the events and oversee the on-ground arrangements.
The funeral is receiving unprecedented global media attention, with over 450 media outlets from around the world arriving in Lebanon, including press delegations from Asia, Africa, North and South America, and Europe.
It is expected that the number of journalists covering the event will exceed 600, distributed between the sports city, the funeral procession route, and up to the burial site.
