Federation of Trade Unions plan to organize protest against deterioration of economic conditions

ADEN, Feb. 19 (YPA) – The Federation of Trade Unions announced, on Wednesday, the organization of an angry protest demonstration next Monday in the city of Aden, which is under the control of the coalition, in protest against the deterioration of economic conditions and the lack of services.

The union affiliated with the Transitional Council confirmed in a statement that it would organize a million-man demonstration under the slogan “The Presidential Leadership Council’s incompetence and the government’s failure are killing us,” in rejection of the catastrophic living conditions witnessed by the city and the rest of the Yemeni governorates under the control of the coalition.

The statement pointed out that the demonstration highlights the living conditions suffered by citizens, calling on all unions and civil society organizations to participate actively in the demonstration until legitimate demands are achieved.
