GMO denies reports of caravans entering Gaza

GAZA, Feb. 13 (YPA) – Marouf Salama, the Head of the Government Media Office in Gaza, denied reports about the arrival or entry of caravans  into the Gaza Strip.

In televised remarks, Salama stated that there has been a minor improvement in the flow of humanitarian aid; however, it still falls short of the level mandated by the ceasefire agreement

He further noted that most shelter supplies have not been allowed into the Gaza Strip, and although there has been some progress in the delivery of tents, they still meet less than 40% of the actual demand.

Salama pointed out that there are ongoing efforts to pressure the occupation authorities to allow the entry of agreed-upon humanitarian and essential aid at a faster pace, in order to meet the urgent needs of the population in the sector, particularly in the north.

Aid continues to enter the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing, despite ongoing tensions between Hamas and the occupying entity, which threatens to undermine the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
