Child found hanged in Taiz’s Al-Mawasit district

TAIZ, Feb. 13 (YPA) – Residents in the Al-Mawasit district of Taiz Governorate, which is under the control of the Islah factions, found the body of a child who had been hanged under mysterious circumstances, sparking panic among the locals.

Local human rights sources reported that on Tuesday evening, residents discovered the body of the child, “Abdulrahman Tariq Muhayyub Al-Foudai,” hanged after the Isha prayer while he was at his maternal uncles’ house.

The sources described the incident as “mysterious,” noting that the perpetrator attempted to cover up the crime by portraying it as a suicide.

The residents demanded an urgent investigation to uncover the circumstances of the incident and identify those responsible for the crime, emphasizing that the suspect tried to obscure the evidence by placing a piece of cloth around the child’s neck.

This incident takes place amid rising security instability in coalition-controlled areas of Taiz, where mysterious crimes have been occurring with alarming frequency.
