Mexican activists paint massive mural in solidarity with Palestine

WORLD, Feb. 06 (YPA) – Mexican activists expressed solidarity with the Palestinian cause by painting a massive mural on a roundabout in one of the country’s streets.

Despite the announcement of a ceasefire in Gaza, activists around the world continue to organize demonstrations and solidarity events in support of Palestine.

It is worth noting that the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, has called for the recognition of a Palestinian state as a step toward achieving peace in the Middle East.

She stated, ‘The Palestinian state must be recognized just as the occupying Israeli state is recognized. This is a position that Mexico has maintained for many years.’

Sheinbaum also reiterated her rejection of violence in the region, emphasizing that ‘war will never lead to positive outcomes.’

Mexico adopts numerous official and popular positions in support of the Palestinian cause and in opposition to Israeli occupation.

Earlier, the ‘National Institute for Political Training’ in the Mexican capital organized a solidarity day for Palestine under the title ‘Palestine Exists.’

The event included a series of lectures, seminars, and exhibitions highlighting the reality of the occupation, settlement, and apartheid policies practiced by Israel since 1948.
