OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Feb. 04 (YPA) – A group of Zionist settlers stormed the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of occupied Quds city (Jerusalem) on Monday.
Local sources reported that the settlers raised the Israeli occupation flags and banners bearing inflammatory slogans inside the headquarters, in a move described as a dangerous escalation targeting the presence and role of UNRWA in the city.
The move comes after the implementation of two laws approved by the Israeli Knesset last Thursday, which aim to restrict the agency’s work and prevent it from providing its services in the occupied Palestinian territories, including the city of Quds.
This development poses a direct threat to the fate of tens of thousands of refugees who depend on the agency’s services in the areas of education and health care.
