DAMSCUSE, July 15 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation’s warplanes launched on Tuesday a series of concentrated airstrikes southern Syria.
According to what was reported by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the Israeli strikes targeted sites and vehicles belonging to the Ministries of Defense and Interior in and around the city of Sweida in southern Syria, killing and wounding a number of citizens.
These attacks coincided with direct orders issued by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz to carry out deterrent military operations in southern Syria against what they described as “dangerous military actions” by Damascus.
In a joint statement, they considered the deployment of Syrian army forces and vehicles in the area a “violation of previous agreements and a direct threat to “Israel”‘s security.
