GAZA, Feb. 02 (YPA) – For the second day in a row, the Rafah crossing continues to operate solely for departures, marking the fifteenth day of the ceasefire.
Palestinian media reported that 37 patients and a number of companions were able to leave after what were described as complicated procedures.
The media mentioned that 50 patients and wounded individuals are scheduled to leave today, Sunday, through the World Health Organization (WHO), which is transporting patients from Gaza hospitals to the crossing, the perimeter of which is controlled by the Israeli occupation.
The past twenty-four hours have witnessed Israeli violations, including gunfire and the demolition of buildings in Rafah.
27 martyrs (including 24 retrieved from under the rubble, 2 martyrs succumbing their wounds and 1 newly reported martyrs) and 8 injuries have been recorded at hospitals in Gaza during the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Saturday.
According to the ministry, a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and the ambulance and civil defense teams are unable to reach them.
The toll of the “Israeli” aggression has risen to 47,487 martyrs and 111,588 injuries since the 7th of October 2023, the ministry added.
