Lebanese army accuses Israeli occupation of procrastinating in withdrawing

BEIRUT, Jan. 25 (YPA) – The Lebanese army accused the Israeli occupation forces on Saturday of procrastinating in withdrawing from southern Lebanon under the ceasefire agreement signed between the two sides.

The Lebanese army called, in a statement, on the Lebanese citizens to wait before heading towards the southern border areas, due to the presence of landmines and suspicious objects left behind by the Israeli enemy.

Earlier, the White House said that extending the ceasefire for a temporary and short period is necessary, while the Lebanese army said that it has continued to implement the plan to strengthen its deployment south of the Litani River since the ceasefire came into effect.
