GAZA, Dec. 25 (YPA) – Hamas movement said that the Israeli occupation authorities imposed new conditions on the ceasefire agreement, which led to delay reaching the available agreement.
The movement affirmed in a statement on Wednesday that the ceasefire and prisoner exchange negotiations are proceeding in Doha with Qatari and Egyptian mediation “seriously.”
The statement added that the movement showed responsibility and flexibility in the negotiations, however, the occupation set new issues and conditions related to withdrawal, ceasefire, prisoners, and the return of the displaced people, which delayed getting the agreement.
On Tuesday, the occupation negotiating team left Doha, according to what the Prime Minister of the occupation, Benjamin Netanyahu, announced, after “an important week of negotiations,” in order to conduct internal Israeli consultations regarding the prisoner exchange deal with Hamas.
The talk about the imminent reaching of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza has coincided with the expansion of the occupation’s attacks on the health sector in Gaza, as the Gaza-based Ministry of Health said that the occupation has intensified targeting the health system in the northern Gaza Strip by besieging and directly targeting the Indonesian, Kamal Adwan and Al-Awda hospitals during the past hours and putting them out of service.
The American-supported Israeli occupation has been waging a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, which has left more than 153,000 martyrs and wounded, and about 11,000 missing, amid massive destruction of the infrastructure, and a famine that has killed dozens of children and elderly people, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
