PMF destroys 3 ISIS secret sites in Anbar

BAGHDAD, Dec. 25 (YPA) – The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) destroyed 3 secret sites belonging to the ISIS organization in a security operation targeting different areas west of Anbar province.

A security source said in a statement to the Iraqi “Al-Maalouma” agency, the PMF began a raid on the positions of the criminal ISIS gangs in the desert areas of Rawah district, west of Anbar, without any injuries among the security forces.

“One of the seized sites contained booby-trapped objects that were detonated remotely by the engineering effort of PMF,” the source added.

The security official affirmed that the campaign came after receiving information indicating the presence of hideouts and secret tunnels for the ISIS in the targeted areas.
