Two girls escape from arrest and rape in Jawf

JAWF, July 22(YPA) – A woman from Yemen’s Jawf province managed to escape from the coalition forces and their militias who tried to kidnap her by jumping from the window of her house and fleeing to a tribal area far from the al-Hazm district.

According to information obtained by the Yemen Press Agency (YPA), the girl was able to escape from the coalition-backed forces’ grip after they had stormed into her house and tried to arrest her on 12 April 2018.

In the same context, another girl managed to escape from the Saudi-backed militias while she was studying at Saba University when they tried to arrest her.

She committed suicide by jumping from the roof of the University building in order not to be arrested and raped by the coalition forces and their militias.

The girl suffered multiple fractures to her feet, and now she is receiving treatment in Sanaa.
