Palestinian man dies from wounds as Israeli forces continue Gaza ceasefire violations

GAZA, Sept. 26 (YPA) – A Palestinian man died early Saturday from wounds sustained in a previous Israeli attack, while Israeli occupation forces continued to violate the ceasefire agreement with artillery shelling and gunfire across several areas of the Gaza Strip.

Palestinian sources identified the man as Qusay Muammar Helles, saying he succumbed to wounds sustained in an Israeli attack in Gaza City several weeks ago.

Several Palestinians, including a girl, were also injured in an Israeli drone strike near the regional intersection in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, according to Palestinian sources.

Israeli occupation forces also shelled eastern areas of Khan Younis, while military vehicles opened heavy fire toward tents housing displaced Palestinians in Al-Mawasi, Rafah, and southern Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis.

The sources said Israeli forces also resumed firing toward the tents in both areas.

Israeli military vehicles also opened heavy fire around Hamad City, north of Khan Younis.

In northern Gaza, Israeli tanks opened heavy fire toward the Al-Salatin and Al-Atatra areas west of Beit Lahia.

Since the ceasefire agreement was reached on Oct. 11, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed and thousands injured, while the Israeli occupation army has destroyed hundreds of homes and infrastructure facilities and seized control of more than 70% of the Gaza Strip.
