HAJJAH, Dec. 05 (YPA) – Aslam Agricultural Cooperative Society in Hajjah province, north of Yemen, launched on Thursday the harvest of 20 hectares of rice-planted areas, with a production quantity of nearly 30 tons in Aslam district.
At the inauguration, Ma’aber Badawi, director general of Aslam district, praised farmers’ rice cultivation efforts, emphasizing the need to expand rice cultivation to reduce imports and achieve self-sufficiency.
For his part, the head of the Aslam Society, Jaber Ali Odhabi, emphasized the association’s support to farmers through production requirements and technical guidance, which contributed to the achievement of agricultural achievement and expressed readiness to help farmers expand rice cultivation.
