MUSCAT, Dec. 06 (YPA) – An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale struck the Arabian Sea off the coast of Oman, east of Yemen, on Thursday.
Seismic and volcanic stations indicated that the earthquake, which occurred near the eastern coast of Yemen, was at a shallow depth estimated at 10 kilometers.
The tremor came after a number of earthquakes and aftershocks occurred in Khuzestan, Iran, the highest of which was a tremor measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale, according to the seismic stations.
