WHO: The situation at Kamal Adwan Hospital is tragic and Israeli attacks must stop

GAZA, Nov. 25 (YPA) – The World Health Organization, on Monday, described the current situation in Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip as “tragic”, amid the ongoing Israeli genocide in the Strip.

The director of the organization, Tedros Ghebreyesus, reported in a post on the X platform that 14 lpeople were injured during the past 48 hours in Kamal Adwan Hospital as a result of an intense attack by Israeli forces.

Ghebreyesus explained that the hospital director, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, and some doctors were among those injured in the Israeli attacks, noting that this situation is extremely tragic, and there are still many injured in the hospital and intensive care units.

“The attacks on Kamal Adwan Hospital must stop immediately and safe passage must be provided for the humanitarian mission so that medical teams can be deployed and supplies can be provided to the remaining patients,” he said.

It is noteworthy that the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, was injured on Saturday evening, when Israeli drones targeted the hospital in the Beit Lahia project, north of the Gaza Strip.
