MARIB, Nov. 19 (YPA) – A member of the Islah Party ( Yemen’s branch of the Muslim Brotherhood ) in the city of Ma’rib, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition, placed a drone carrying explosive warheads for sale.
Abdullah Aboud Al-Sharif, a prominent activist in the Islah Party, shared a photo on social media of an advanced drone equipped with a thermal camera, mounted on a military vehicle belonging to the party.
He questioned, “Who is the buyer, a state or a tribe?”
The drone put up for sale sparked numerous questions, especially following the incident in December 2022, when a full shipment of Islah drones fell into the hands of Al-Qaeda militants on the Al-Badarat road near the Al-Wadea border crossing, and was subsequently transported to an unknown destination.
In recent months, terrorist groups have carried out several drone strikes against UAE-backed factions in Abyan and Shabwa provinces, as confirmed by Al-Qaeda’s own statements.
This latest drone sale offer by Islah comes after a similar offer in early October, when three Russian-made tanks were put up for sale online, one of which was located in Shabwa.
