Civilian killed in Abyan clashes

ABYAN, Nov. 17 (YPA) – A citizen was killed and another injured on Saturday when gunmen opened fire inside the city of Zinjibar, the provincial capital of Abyan, which is under the control of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions, in southern Yemen.

Local sources in the city said that clashes erupted between coalition’s militants and tribal gunmen from Awad bin Eido tribe in the middle of the coastal city of Ahwar.

The sources attributed the confrontations to tribal revenge, in the absence of the coalition-funded local authorities.
