OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Nov. 17 (YPA) – Clashes erupted on Sunday between Palestinian resistance fighters and Israeli occupation forces after the latter raided several areas in the West Bank, accompanied by a widespread arrest campaign.
According to Palestinian sources, the occupation forces raided the eastern Nablus area, specifically the Balata neighborhood, at dawn, entering from Awarta checkpoint.
Resistance fighters targeted the occupation forces with an explosive device in Balata, where Israeli forces also stormed the surrounding area near the Al-Ghawi roundabout and raided the home of the Kasab family.
In the southern West Bank, violent confrontations broke out between young Palestinian activists and Israeli forces who raided Bethlehem.
The sources reported that the occupation forces arrested a young man from Al-Saff Street in Bethlehem.
Meanwhile, the occupation forces also raided the city of Tulkarem, where they stormed the home of a detainee in the village of Azbat al-Jarad.
In Qalqilya, the occupation forces stormed the city through the southern checkpoint, conducting raids and arrests that targeted several citizens.
Two individuals, a young man and an elderly person, were arrested after Israeli forces stormed their homes in the Shireem neighborhood of Qalqilya.
Additionally, Israeli forces stormed the villages of of Birzeit and Kobar north of Ramallah, as well as the town of Beit Ummar north of Hebron.
In central West Bank, Israeli forces raided the village of Shabtin, west of Ramallah, and intensified their military presence at the Ein Sinya checkpoint located on Palestinian land north of Ramallah.
Amid the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army expanded its operations and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
This brings death toll to led to 783 martyrs and approximately 6,300 injured, according to official Palestinian figures.
