TAIZ, Oct. 26 (YPA) – Dozens of angry protesters closed on Saturday the hospital of the coastal district of Thu Bab, which is under the control of the UAE-funded factions west of Taiz province, in protest against the deterioration of health services.
Local sources reported that citizens closed the hospital following the death of five women and the serious injury of approximately 17 others as a result of their falling into a sewage pit yesterday evening, Friday.
The sources confirmed that the people took the women to the hospital, which was unable to provide care, health, and treatment services to the women, which led the people to expel the hospital workers and close it, in addition to blocking the main road.
The sources pointed out that the angry protests of the people blocked the coastal road linking Mocha to the city of Aden, demanding improvement of health services for the people of Tihama who are suffering.
