Thousands of demonstrators stage sit-in in London to reject genocide in Gaza, Lebanon

LONDON, Oct. 19 (YPA) – More than 30,000 people participated in a demonstration on Saturday in the British capital, London, to demand an end to the Zionist genocide in the Gaza Strip.

The demonstration was organized by the “Palestine Alliance,” which includes the Palestinian Forum in Britain, Friends of Al-Aqsa, the Islamic League in Britain, the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, the Nuclear Disarmament Campaign, and the Stop the War Coalition.

The demonstrators gathered to express their rejection of the ongoing genocide in Gaza and Lebanon, demanding an end to the Zionist aggression and the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, which threatens the lives of more than 400,000 Palestinians, especially in the northern Gaza Strip, which is witnessing intense and continuous bombardment.

This demonstration comes at a critical time with the continuation of the genocide campaign in Gaza, where the Zionist enemy imposes a strict siege and continues to intensively bomb residential areas, further aggravating the humanitarian crisis and putting the lives of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in danger.

As the international community continues to ignore these crimes, the demonstrators stress the need to continue popular and political pressure to stop the aggression and ensure international accountability for the criminals responsible for these atrocities.
