Israeli occupation confiscates UNRWA headquarters in Al-Quds

ALQUDS, Oct. 10 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation government,led by Benjamin Netanyahu, issued on Thursday an order to confiscate the lands on which the headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) is located in occupied city of Al-Quds for the construction of new settlement units, the occupation’s radio said.

In turn, Israel Hayom newspaper explained that the area of the UNRWA headquarters in al-Quds would be confiscated to build thousands of housing units and the project is in the preparation stages.

The Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee of the occupation parliament (Knesset) approved last week two bills aimed at “terminating the activities and benefits of UNRWA in Al-Quds,” in a move that UN Secretary-General António Guterres was quick to denounce.
