TAIZ, Sept. 18 (YPA) – A large wave of explosions occurred, on Wednesday, causing panic among citizens in Taiz province, local sources reported.
The sources said that the explosions were caused by the explosion of an ammunition depot belonging to the coalition forces in the Sala district in the center of Taiz city.
The sources explained that fragments of the flying shells from the explosive weapons depot, hit citizens’ homes more than a kilometer away from the location of the explosion in the Zaid al-Mushki neighborhood in the center of the city, pointing out that there were no casualties reported so far.
The sources indicated that there are expectations that the warehouse may have been blown up by an agent, in light of the state of disagreements and polarization occurring between the coalition forces in parts of Taiz governorate under coalition control.
While some human rights activists point out that the weapons warehouse explosion in Taiz city may have been the result of an attempt to hide evidences of arms sales from the warehouses of the factions affiliated with the coalition in Taiz.
