Jordan receives American fighters with advanced missiles to protect “Israel”

AMMAN, Aug. 11 (YPA) – The “Arab Defense” website reported that a squadron of US Navy F/A-18E Super Hornet fighter aircraft had landed in Jordan, coming from the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71).

The fighters were seen carrying four AIM-120 AMRAAM advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles and four AIM-9X Sidewinder short-range air-to-air missiles. All portable missiles are live missiles.

The media reported that the deployment of these fighter jets in Jordan was part of the United States’ steps to increase its military power in the Middle East in the wake of the possibility of Iran and the axis of resistance launching a large-scale attack against the Zionist entity following the assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.

TWZ magazine wrote that stationing “Super Hornets” aircraft at Jordanian bases before any attack on the entity by Iran makes sense for America.

“Muwafaq Salti” Air Base is very centrally located in the region and has long been a major location for US air operations in the Middle East.

Previously, a squadron of US Air Force F-15E Strike Eagles deployed in Jordan played a major role in Israel’s defense against the Iranian counterattack in April.
