Biden: Saudi Arabia will recognize Israel if US provides defense and nuclear facility

WORLD, July 16 (YPA) – US President Joe Biden stated that he considers himself a “Zionist,” claiming at the same time that he has “done more for the Palestinian community than anyone else.”

Biden made these remarks in a recorded interview with Speedy Morman from Complex Network, which was recorded on Friday, a day before the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump, and published on Monday.

When asked about the reason for his strong support for “Israel” currently, Biden responded by saying, “Without the existence of Israel, every Jew in the world would be at risk, so it is necessary for Israel to be strong and to be a safe haven for Jews.”

He was asked if he was a Zionist, Biden answered “Yes,” adding that “it is not necessary to be Jewish to be a Zionist.”

Biden added that people “do not know what a Zionist is.”

He also revealed that the Saudis have requested that they are ready to grant full recognition to “Israel” if Washington provides them with defense guarantees and allows them to establish a civilian nuclear facility, enabling them to move away from fossil fuels.

Biden continued: “This changes the game entirely in the region.”
