UN rapporteur: Israeli “genocide” in Gaza Strip has not stopped

NEW YORK, July 07 (YPA) – The United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, confirmed on Sunday that the Israeli “genocide” in the Gaza Strip has not stopped.

“The Western media’s failure to talk about the Israeli ‘genocide’ in the Gaza Strip does not mean that the genocide and oppression have stopped, but rather confirms that they are being normalized,” Albanese said in a post on her account on “X.”.

She added, “Wake up, humanity.”

Since October 7, the Israeli enemy forces, with American support, have been waging a war on Gaza that has resulted in more than 125,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing persons, amid massive destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of dozens of children.

The Israeli occupation entity continues this war, ignoring the UN Security Council resolutions to stop it immediately and the orders of the International Court of Justice to end the invasion of Rafah city, south Gaza, and to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the miserable humanitarian situation in Gaza.
