About 600 people infected with Cholera in Lahj

LAHJ, July 07 (YPA) – About 600 people have been infected with Cholera epidemic in the province of Lahj province, south of Yemen.

Medical sources in the province said that the epidemic targets citizens on a daily basis without access to medicines, adding that the Shatt Rural Hospital received all cases of cholera.

The sources confirmed that 250 cases have been separated for the hospital’s departments, amid the spread of hundreds of cases without access to medicines due to the outbreak of the epidemic due to water pollution and the lack of health awareness among the people.

The epidemic is spreading widely among children and women without paying attention to the situation of hospitals that lack the most basic capabilities of health staff and laboratories by the coalition-backed authorities in the province.
