UNRWA: 10 children lose one or two legs in Gaza every day

GAZA, June 25 (YPA) – UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said that the ongoing aggression in the Gaza Strip results in the loss of 10 children, with an average loss of one or two legs every day.

Lazzarini added during a press conference in Geneva on Tuesday that these statistics refer to children who lose their lower limbs, without including those who lost their hands or arms.

Separately, a United Nations-backed assessment concluded that about half a million people suffer from “catastrophic” hunger in Gaza.
