STC militias launch arrest campaign in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, June 25 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s armed factions carried out on Tuesday a massive arrest campaign in Hadramout province, east of Yemen.

Local sources said that armed elements arrested a number of teachers in the city of Al-Shehr, against the backdrop of their sit-in to demand improvement of their living conditions.

The sources indicated that among those detained were the head of the teachers’ committee in Al-Shehr, Ayman Mahfouz Bahashwan, and the secretary-general of the committee, Amin Awad Hamdan, Arwa Abu Bakr, and Souad Abdullah.
