Al-Quds Brigades target Israeli armored personnel carrier in Gaza

GAZA, Aug. 29 (YPA) – The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, announced on Friday that, in coordination with Hamas’s Al-Qassam Brigades, they had targeted an Israeli “Eitan” armored personnel carrier with a Kornet guided missile east of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City.

“Our fighters, alongside those of the Al-Qassam Brigades, successfully struck a Zionist Eitan armored personnel carrier with a Kornet missile, scoring a direct hit,” the statement read.

The brigades added that their fighters observed Israeli aircraft landing in the area to evacuate dead and wounded soldiers.

The strike comes amid ongoing intense clashes in eastern Gaza City, where Palestinian resistance factions report inflicting significant losses on Israeli occupation forces in both personnel and military equipment in recent days.
