Political active kidnapped in Aden

ADEN, May 30 (YPA) – A political active in the “Southern Movement” in the city of Aden, south of Yemen, was kidnapped on Wednesday.

Human rights sources said that armed men believed to belong to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) forces kidnapped Saddam Al-Daousi, near Al-Kuraimi Company in the Khor Maksar area, and took him to an unknown destination.

Al-Daousi’s kidnapping comes as a result of his positions rejecting the economic collapse that resulted in the rise in food prices and the continued electricity service outage in the city.

The STC’s forces are trying to silence the voices opposing the starvation policy imposed by the coalition-backed Aden government.
