LAHJ, May 07 (YPA) – Five children died in separate drowning accidents in Lahj province, southern Yemen, local sources reported on Tuesday.
According to the sources, two children drowned in one of the irrigation channels in the village of Al-Qadi in Tor Al-Baha district on Monday.
Two other children were also killed by drowning in a water basin in the village of Bir Nasser in Toban District.
In Radfan district, a child died as a result of drowning in a water hole on Monday morning.
In addition, two houses collapsed and other houses were flooded in the city of Al-Houta, in Lahj, as a result of the heavy rains that the city witnessed on Monday evening.
