UN accuses Zionist occupation of obstructing delivery of fuel to Gaza hospitals

GAZA, April 21 (YPA) – The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Palestine said that “humanitarian convoys have not been able to deliver fuel to hospitals in the Gaza Strip”, referring to the obstacles posed by the Israeli occupation.

The official account of the organization on the social media platform X, tweeted a tweet announcing that two-thirds of the coordinated humanitarian missions in Gaza faced on Sunday obstacles or delays by the Israeli authorities, and on average, each mission faced a delay of five hours before being allowed to proceed.

“As a result, vital supplies, equipment and fuel for backup generators have not been delivered to hospitals”, the office said.

Previously, the head of the Government Information Office in Gaza, Salama Maarouf, had noted that “preventing the entry of cooking gas and fuel into the Strip portends an aggravation of the humanitarian crisis”.
