STC insults senior military commander in Aden

ADEN, April 21 (YPA) – A senior military commander from Abyan province was deliberately insulted by the UAE-funded “Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions at the eastern entrance to the city of Aden, south of Yemen.

According to media sources, a number of STC’s elements at Al-Alam Point refused to allow the Saudi-backed commander of the 89th Infantry Brigade in Shakra area of Abyan, Mohammed Ali Jabr, to enter Aden.

The sources added that the elements had detained the commander for more than 3 hours at the military point Al-Alam of area of Aden and forced him to return to Abyan despite receiving an operational report from the Ministry of Defense of the coalition-backed Aden government allowing to enter Aden.

They described these step as regional measures that are repeated from time to time against the military and security leaders from Abyan, in contrast to the leaders coming from the Taiz’s Mokha city, held by the former president Ali Abdullah Saleh’s nephew Tariq Saleh.
