UNRWA employees stage demonstration outside cash-strapped agency’s Gaza headquarters
SANAA, July 12 (YPA) – Dozens of Palestinians and employees of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) rallied on Thursday outside the UNRWA’s Gaza headquarters on Thursday to protest planned reductions to the agency’s services and canceling some Gaza citizens contracts who works at UNRWA.
UNRWA which was established in 1949 presumed to provide essential services to Palestinian refugees in the blockaded Gaza Strip, the occupied West Bank, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria, who have been displaced by Israeli occupation and conflict.
A speech pronounced by Yousif Hamdoini,in the behalf of the employees union warned the UNRWA management of the consequences that would result if it continued to reduce its services.
