More than 50% of Israelis view remaining in power as driving force behind Netanyahu to prolong war in Gaza
OCCUPIED PALESTINE, March 04 (YPA) – A survey conducted by Israeli Channel 13 revealed that 53% of Israelis believe that political survival is the motive behind Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s prolongation of the war on Gaza. Meanwhile, 35% believe that Netanyahu continues the war for “decisive victory” purposes.
According to observers and experts, Israeli political and military leaders deliberately prolong the war in the Gaza Strip because they know that it means their end.
Earlier, in an interview with RT, Egyptian political analyst Yousri Obeid stated that Netanyahu is aware that the end of this war would mean the end of his political career, his government and the extremists within it.
He explained that current Israeli officials are trying to significantly prolong this war to maintain their grip on power because the end of this war signifies the end of Netanyahu’s political future, as well as that of the extremist ministers and security leaders.
